Baqaei condemns territorial claims by UAE and Canada regarding three Iranian islands

Tehran, IRNA — Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has strongly condemned the claims made by the United Arab Emirates and Canada regarding the three Iranian islands—as stated in a joint declaration by the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Prime Minister of Canada—and, while emphasizing that Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb belong to Iran in perpetuity, characterized this action as contrary to the principles of the UN Charter and international law.
