Iranian fallow deer

The population of Iranian fallow deer has nearly quadrupled due to favorable conditions at Rashkan Site in Lake Urmia National Park and the success of its breeding programs. According to local officials in West Azarbaijan Province, 22 deer currently live at the site, including five born this year. To protect the endangered species, breeding centers have also been established in other parts of Iran.
