Lots of pomp, but no progress as Trump and Xi end state visit

US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping capped a state visit on Friday with pomp and pageantry but no breakthroughs. After the two-day meeting, Trump said he discussed the Iran war with Xi, and the two leaders confirmed that they will meet two more times before the end of the year.
