French foreign minister says Palestinians 'absolutely must' hold elections

Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said the Palestinians must hold parliamentary elections, which are due on November 28 for the first time since 2006, adding that presidential elections were slated for the first quarter of 2027.
