President Masoud Pezeshkian rang the bell to mark the start of the new school year in Iran on Monday, September 21, 2026. The president and Education Minister Alireza Kazemi attended a ceremony at Fatemeh Zahra Elementary School in downtown Tehran, where an event titled Jashn-e Shekoufeha (Celebration of Blossoms) was held.
