Paris hosts security talks on replacing UN mission to Lebanon

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the leaders of Lebanon and Jordan on Thursday for talks on shoring up support for the Lebanese army as a longstanding United Nations peacekeeping mission comes to its end. Lebanon's military is struggling to disarm militant group Hezbollah, a condition for the Israeli army to withdraw from the south of the country.
