London, IRNA – The Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations in Vienna, referring to the US opposition to Iran's membership in the General Committee of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conference, said following a secret ballot and the support of a number of countries, the Islamic Republic of Iran's membership in the committee was approved by the conference—an outcome that marks yet another political defeat for the United States.
