Lebanon says it welcomes Iran's interest in rebuilding bilateral ties Lebanon's Foreign Ministry said it welcomes signs that Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is keen to strengthen ties between the two governments. The ministry said in a statement on Sunday that Lebanon has always sought, and continues to seek, good relations with all countries, including Iran. The remarks follow a meeting in Tehran on Saturday between Araghchi and Sheikh Ali al-Khatib, deputy head of Lebanon's Supreme Islamic Shia Council.
