Iran naval commander says force remains ‘alive and well’ Iran’s navy is “alive and well” and continuing its mission, its commander Shahram Irani said, rejecting repeated claims by US President Donald Trump that all Iranian naval ships had been destroyed. “The navy is alive and well, continuing its mission with strength and will spare no effort to defend our beloved Iran and ensure and maintain the security of the great Iranian nation,” Irani said, according to state broadcaster IRIB.
