Iranian President calls for stronger deterrence as new IRGC leadership takes office

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated Major General Ahmad Vahidi and Major General Mostafa Izadi on their appointments as Chief Commander and Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), respectively, stressing the need to strengthen Iran’s deterrence, national cohesion and security readiness.
