Highlights Since November 2024, approximately 3.7 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) and Syrian refugees have returned to their areas of origin or other locations in the Syrian Arab Republic, half of whom are children. Returns are taking place amid significant humanitarian needs, limited access to basic services, economic hardship, and ongoing protection risks.
