For more than two decades, Hezbollah has been building its "Land of Tunnels" in Lebanon an extensive underground project constructed with Iranian and North Korean assistance. The offensive component of the project six attack tunnels into Israel was exposed by the IDF in December 2018. In August 2021, the Alma Research and Education Center revealed the project's strategic tunneling dimension, followed by additional research on its tactical and approach tunnels.
