Between 01 January and 19 June 2026, Insecurity Insight identified at least 158 incidents in which aid workers were killed, injured, kidnapped or arrested (KIKA) in 23 countries and territories.* Across these incidents, 65 aid workers were killed, 123 injured, 46 kidnapped and 83 arrested. More than half of all killings (56%) occurred in three countries
