Today @USTreasury sanctioned 50+ more individuals, entities & vessels tied to Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani's illicit shipping empire. Oil trader Hossein Shamkhani is the son of the late Ali Shamkhani, Iran's former Defense Minister, longtime Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, and senior adviser to Supreme Leader Khamenei, who was killed in U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran in early 2026. USTreasury also issued an Iran general license.
