Lebanon: Flash Update #42 - Escalation of hostilities in Lebanon (as of 9 July 2026)

HIGHLIGHTS At least 4,321 deaths and 12,204 injuries due to hostilities recorded by the Ministry of Public Health since 2 March. 732,594 people having returned to their areas of origin, while 430,000 people remain displaced, including 33,343 Internally Displaced Persons (over 53 per cent women and girls) in 325 collective shelters as of 9 July.
