Report: Hamas spokesperson survives Israeli air strike Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem reportedly survived an Israeli attack that occurred on Thursday west of Gaza City, according to Al Arabiya television. Based on a security source in the territory, one of the Israeli air strikes targeted the Hamas official's car. However, Qassem was not in the car at the time of the attack.
