The United States and Iran traded strikes on July 9 for the second day running as Washington and Tehran battled over the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Explosions were also heard in Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, two US allies in the Gulf, following fresh attacks on Iran overnight. But although Trump says he is ready to fight Iran all the way, will he risk it politically?
