DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT On 24 June 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck north-central Venezuela in rapid succession, with preliminary magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5. Authorities have reported more than 302 aftershocks since the event, creating a high risk of further structural collapse.
