Important to understand that the "elected members" of #Syria 's parliament, were chosen by only 6,000 electors who were indirectly appointed by President Sharaa. No general citizens participated in a direct nationwide vote. The rational for this top down formation of the parliament has been that Syria remains too chaotic, which begs the question of whether President Sharaa intends to move Syria toward real elections.
