Syrian President a-Sharaa has appointed his share of 70 MPs to the 210-seat Syrian parliament, after 140 were selected by government-appointed electoral committees. Notably, a-Sharaa appointed Laith Bal'ous as one of the 2 representatives to Sweidaa'. I've spoken to multiple people in and from Sweidaa': even those who oppose al-Hijri and his militias, see Bal'ous as a sellout and tales about his criminality against Druze civilians abound.
