Iran tells UN Israel is normalising ‘state terrorism’ Iran has filed a protest at the United Nations after Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz threatened to assassinate Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Iran’s UN ambassador, Amir-Saeid Iravani, raised the issue in a letter to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the Security Council and the General Assembly. He described Katz’s threat as “part of a deliberate and systematic policy of state terrorism” aimed at Iranian officials.
