Highlights On 15 April 2026, Sudan's war entered its fourth year with no signs of abating, as violence, mass displacement and collapsed services continue to drive one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises. In a significant milestone, UNICEF supported the safe conduct of national examinations for 544,200 students across more than 3,000 centres, helping sustain learning despite conflict and significant access constraints.
