Somalia’s food security and nutrition situation is worsening beyond earlier projections, driven by consecutive failed rains, reduced humanitarian funding, and spillover effects from the Middle East crisis. Around 2 million people are now in IPC Phase 4, more than double the number at the same time last year, indicating a sharp rise severity.
