Lebanon says Trump backed ceasefire deal in call with Lebanese president Lebanese President Joseph Aoun says US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed Washington’s support for a Lebanon-Israel ceasefire agreement. In a statement posted on X, the Lebanese presidency said Aoun received a phone call from Trump on Friday night. It said Trump welcomed the signing of a trilateral agreement and voiced support for efforts to uphold the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.
