UNICEF statement on 7.5 and 7.2 magnitude earthquakes in Venezuela

Country: Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) Source: UN Children's Fund CARACAS / PANAMA 25 June 2026 – UNICEF stands in solidarity with the children and families affected by the 7.5 and 7.2 magnitude earthquakes that struck Venezuela on 24 June 2026. The earthquakes have affected communities in Caracas and the states of Aragua, Carabobo, Falcón, La Guaira, Miranda and nearby areas. As official situation assessments evolve, communities are urged to remain alert for possible aftershocks and follow official guidance.
