Highlights & Impact Overview On 24 June 2026, a high-intensity 'seismic doublet' consisting of two shallow, major earthquakes ($M7.2$ and $M7.5$) struck north-central Venezuela in rapid succession, with the epicentre located near MorĂ³n along the Carabobo/Yaracuy axis. The Global Disaster Alert and Coordination System (GDACS) has issued a Red Alert for the event.
