US suspending sanctions on Iranian oil until 21 August The US government has said it is suspending sanctions on Iran until 21 August. The Treasury said in a statement that it was waiving all existing US sanctions on "the Production, Delivery and Sale of Crude Oil, Petrochemical Products, and Petroleum Products of Iranian-Origin through August 21, 2026." The waiver will also allow the US to import "petrochemical and petroleum products of Iranian origin" for domestic use.
