For the week ending on 4 June the national average prices of staple foods edged up slightly compared to its prices on 26 February**,** pre-Middle East crisis. Compared to the week ended on 21 May, wheat flour prices increased slightly ( 1 percent) due to higher transportation costs, temporary supply disruptions, and inter-provincial wheat movements that tightened local market supply.
