Iranian sources quoted in Iranian platforms and media space now say Qalibaf’s trip to Qatar was focused on the executive arrangements for Iran’s access to frozen assets. According to these reports, the 14 point draft MoU provides for the release of $24bn during the negotiations. Tehran reportedly wants $12bn-half of the amount-to be made available as soon as the MoU is announced, with the rest transferred within 60 days.
