US congresswoman says ‘Nakba did not end in 1948’ Palestinian American lawmaker Rashida Tlaib commemorated the Nakba in remarks delivered before the US Congress, saying the displacement of Palestinians during the creation of Israel in 1948 continues to shape events today.
