This year’s rainfall season was about to turn from a grace to a dangerous threat to people, and agriculture! In northern Syria, vast stretches of farmland in Aleppo were at risk by rising floodwaters that continued to push against fragile earthen embankment, threatening to flood thousands of hectares of agricultural land and harm the livelihood of rural communities.
