UN says 1.1 million displaced in Lebanon amid conflict More than 1.1 million people have been displaced in Lebanon, nearly one-fifth of the country’s population, a United Nations spokesperson said. Stephane Dujarric told reporters that about 137,000 of those displaced are living in shelters. Most others are staying with host communities or in informal settings, often with very limited access to basic services, he said.
