US takes relatives of Qassem Soleimani captive after revoking residency status The United States has taken into captivity two relatives of slain Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani after revoking their legal residency status. The State Department said federal agents detained Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter after Secretary of State Marco Rubio cancelled their green cards. "Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter are now in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement," the department said.
