Israeli forces destroy UN peacekeeper cameras in south Lebanon Israeli forces have destroyed surveillance equipment linked to UN peacekeepers in southern Lebanon, raising fresh concerns over the safety of international personnel. A UN security official said "17 of the headquarters' cameras have been destroyed by the Israeli army" in Naqura within 24 hours. Unifil spokesperson Kandice Ardiel said "the cameras appear to have been destroyed by some kind of laser".
