In his 19-minute address to the nation from the White House on Wednesday, President Donald Trump defended his war in Iran, which is now entering his second month, presenting the operation as a success that he said was “nearing completion.” But the President also stretched the truth about certain victories on the battlefield, and misrepresented the state of the US economy.
