Hezbollah says 'fierce clashes' ongoing in south Lebanon Hezbollah said its fighters were engaged in “fierce clashes” with Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, as fighting intensified near the town of Chama. The group said battles were ongoing as Israeli forces advanced in the area. Hezbollah also said it fired rockets at Israeli soldiers and vehicles near El Qantara in southern Lebanon, and claimed attacks on targets in northern Israel, including a military industries site near Haifa and a camp east of Safed.
