Lebanon bans Hezbollah's military wing, diplomatic official says Lebanon informed the United Nations in a letter that it has criminalised Hezbollah's military wing, Al Hadath reported, citing a diplomatic official. The report said Beirut's letter also mentioned a 2 March government decision to ban all military activity by the group. Hezbollah fighters carry the body of the group's top military commander Ibrahim Aqil during his funeral in Beirut's southern suburbs on 22 September 2024 (AFP)
