Syria integration deal: Kurdish fighters begin to integrate state forces

Syria’s government has begun implementing an agreement with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to gradually integrate Kurdish fighters and administrative structures into state forces. The move follows weeks of fighting during which government forces retook significant areas in the northeast that had remained under SDF control for over a decade.
