Inside the Palestinian camp in Beirut where residents are staying put, for now
A FRANCE 24 team visited the Palestinian camp of Bourj el-Barajneh in the heart of Beirut’s southern suburbs, which are frequently struck by Israeli airstrikes. Yet here, many people say they have little choice but to stay. Bourj el-Barajneh was established in 1948 after Palestinians were forced to leave their homes in what became known as the Nakba (‘catastrophe’).
