Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr has been appointed as secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council succeeding Ali Larijani who was assassinated last week. 72 years old, former deputy commander of IRGC during former President Khatami’s tenure, and is currently secretary of the Expediency Council. Zolghadr was also deputy minister of interior under Ahamdinehad's presidency.
