Country: Mozambique Source: European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Heavy rainfall has been affecting Mozambique in the last few days, causing flooding and prompting evacuations. Since 18 March, an evacuation order has been issued for people living in low-lying areas in the provinces of Inhambane, Gaza and Sofala due to flooding. Several shelters have been opened in the affected areas, and the situation has been monitored by national authorities.
